Pharmaceutical shares push London market higher at noon

The London stock market remained higher in lunchtime trade led by pharmaceutical shares and the FTSE 100 was up 29.2 points at 6,364.9.

Drugs giant Astra Zeneca rose 4.2 percent and rival Glaxo Smith Kline 3.5 percent, after a brief rebound in early trade, retail shares continued to fall on worries over Christmas trading.

Sainsbury's shares fell 2.8 percent and Argos owner Home Retail Group dropped 0.9 percent.
Budget airline Easyjet dropped 10 percent after its latest monthly figures showed December's load factor declined to 78.9 percent from 81.2 percent a year ago.
